In April 2006, two ipsum-workshops take place in Afghanistan’s Capital of Kabul. The participants are youth who are counseled (Hera) by the Afghan NGO Aschiana as well as students from Kabul University.
These two very heterogeneous groups work together in the workshops, whereas one group is open to women and the other to men only. In the group of female participants, a performance artist contributes an additional focus on “photography and movement”.
At the end of the workshop period, the two groups come together to conceptualize an exhibition that takes place on the university campus. After the ipsum team’s departure, the participants independently organize a second exhibition in cooperation with Aschiana.
