Soro 2005
Cooperation with the Sanjan Nagar-Institute in 2004 in Lahore leads to an ipsum-follow-up project in 2005. It takes place in Soro, a village in the Pakistani desert region of Baluchistan, bordering Iran and Afghanistan. The project is implemented in two groups with the local girls and boys schools. In addition to photography, the participants also approach their environment on an acoustic level in an audio-workshop held by a musician. Acoustic and visual perception of the everyday life are captured with cameras and recorders and conveyed to the public in a presentation realized by both groups – it is the first public exhibition in Soro’s history.
The project is strongly supported by Zubaida Jalal and her family.
